This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through the Benguela Cove UK online store.
Delivery Locations
We currently deliver to addresses within mainland United Kingdom.
If you require delivery outside mainland UK (including Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, or offshore islands), please contact us before placing your order.

Delivery Charges
Wine Club / Subscription Members
Free delivery on all subscription shipments.
Additional orders placed by subscribers may also qualify for free delivery depending on promotions.
Non-Subscribers
Free delivery on orders of 12 bottles or more.
Standard delivery charges apply to smaller orders.
Delivery charges will be clearly displayed at checkout before payment.
Delivery Times
Typical delivery times are:
- 2–4 working days from dispatch for mainland UK
Orders are processed Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the next working day.
During peak periods (e.g. Christmas), delivery times may be slightly longer.
Dispatch Times
Orders are normally dispatched within:
- 1–2 working days
You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
Delivery Requirements (Age Verification)
UK law requires alcohol to be delivered only to individuals aged 18 years or older.
Our courier partners operate a Challenge 25 policy, which means:
- The recipient may be asked to provide valid photo ID
- If age verification cannot be completed, delivery may be refused
Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Passport
- UK driving licence
- PASS-approved ID card
If delivery fails due to age verification issues, additional delivery charges may apply.
Failed Deliveries
If no one is available to receive your delivery:
- The courier may attempt redelivery, or
- Leave instructions to arrange another delivery time
If a parcel is returned to us due to failed delivery attempts, we may charge additional shipping fees to resend the order.
Delivery Conditions
Wine is a fragile product and must be handled carefully.
To ensure product quality:
- All wines are shipped in specialist protective packaging
- Deliveries are handled by licensed courier partners
Please inspect your delivery upon arrival.
If bottles arrive damaged or broken, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Multiple Shipments
Large orders may occasionally arrive in multiple deliveries.
If part of your order has not arrived within 3 working days of the first delivery, please contact our team.
Incorrect Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
If an incorrect address is provided:
- We may not be able to redirect the shipment
- Additional delivery charges may apply for resending the order
Delivery Delays
While we aim to meet the delivery timelines stated above, delays can occasionally occur due to:
- courier disruptions
- extreme weather
- public holidays
- high seasonal demand
We are not responsible for delays once a parcel has been handed to the courier, but we will assist in resolving delivery issues where possible.
