Lighthouse Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2020
Like its predecessor, this style of cool climate Sauvignon Blanc takes you right to the oceans’ edge where you can smell the salt in the air. Bone-dry with a citrus-like acidity, this wine is reminiscent of the Old World while the fruit leaps from the glass to remind you where it is from. Its vibrant character makes it a great food companion but with plenty of fruit and a crisp palate.
Lighthouse Collection Moody Lagoon 2018
Five red cultivars combine forces to introduce a wine that delivers on fruit purity with enough gravitas to announce intensity, balance and charming freshness. This wine is a culinary gem as well as a trusted companion on the table when old friends get together for a hearty meal. Time will soothe the youthful tannin.
Benguela Cove Sauvignon Blanc 2018
This wine was so well received by Sauvignon Blanc lovers that we are running low on stock. Not a bad problem to have albeit this is a wine that you want to drink now and also put away for a few years to see how beautifully a white wine can age.
Lighthouse Collection Rosé 2019
A delicious medley of fruit, florals and candied aromas opens doors to enjoy this wine as an aperitif or to complement an array of colourful dishes. Its vibrant character is marked with expressions of strawberries, watermelon, and cherry-nougat, tailed by notes of citrus, pineapple, and lemon verbena.
Benguela Cove Syrah 2018
There is nothing shy about this wine and one is met with an abundant display of violet, plum, black figs, fruit pastilles, mulberry and warm spice. As expressive and aromatic as it is, a twist awaits on the palate with a more savoury character and mouth-filling intensity. Well-chiselled tannin and an assertive acidity conclude the wine.
Wines of South Africa
Benguela Cove Wine Estate is a top producer and wine destination at the start of the Hermanus Wine Route in the Walker Bay region of the Western Cape, in South Africa.
The climatic conditions create a special terroir to produce award-winning wines. The south-easterly sea breeze is chilled at night by the Benguela Current flowing up from Antarctica, to cool the grapes after hot summer days, irrigated by above-average rainfall, for slow ripening. Perfect viniculture.
