Benguela Cove Vinography Range - The Story

Vinography represents a journal kept by both nature and winemaker on the Benguela Cove Wine Estate where they join forces in showcasing the essence of a place. Each element, nuance and decision from vine to cellar became instrumental in telling the story of a vintage. This range serves as an ode to our journey to learn and to discover the vines that were planted in virgin soil and to continue our commitment to excellence.

Vinography Petit Verdot 2018

This power of this wine lies in its elegance and all the delicate nuances that denes a sophisticated red wine. It delivers on a montage of red and dark fruit, hemmed with a gentle perfume of lavender, freshly pruned roses and hints of Turkish delight.

To balance the fruit, baked capsicum, graphite notes and a slight peppery note add a savoury gloss.

This Petit Verdot is opulent yet poised with elegance, framed with delicate yet solid tannins and a freshness that persists right to the end.

This wine is the epitome of class.

Vinography Chardonnay 2018

Stately and profound, the fruit purity is perfectly balanced with the oak to dust that luscious core with nutty, ginger and cinnamon aromas.

Layered aromas persist with everything from white peach, lemon curd, lemon verbena, vanilla pods, granny smith apple and orange zest to entice the senses.

This chardonnay delivers on the promise of balance, structure, length, intensity and concentration, without being overt.

Its intensity is backed with integrity and the same character follows suit on the palate, renewed with a lingering saltiness and complete wine with expression and class.

Vinography Sauvignon Blanc 2018

This wine wins you over with its intense yet elegant physique. Luscious aromas of papaya, lemon, quince and pineapple are chiselled with spicy notes and wild proteas.

Though expressive, the palate is tuned with a refined chalky texture, plenty of fruit weight and racy acidity.

A flinty character persists to balance the creaminess, adding a salty almost orange piff character. The fruit is the hero, honoured by the smart use of oak that frames beautifully.

The wine denes power, backed by notes of int and chalk to elevate the fruit. The 500L French oak barrels with Acacia heads add a bohemian twist. It hits the sweet spot of Old World minerality and length that meets New World fruit and texture on the palate.
